The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), is an interdisciplinary research centre, based in Barcelona, that conducts excellent interdisciplinary research at the frontiers of engineering and life sciences in order to generate new knowledge by putting together fields like nanomedicine, biophysics, biotechnology, tissue engineering and the applications of health information technology.
The 14th IBEC Symposium will focus on one of our three main areas of application of research at IBEC: Regenerative Therapies. The event will be held online on the 27th and 28th of October.
All the scientific community is invited to participate. Attendees from IBEC and abroad are welcome to present their research in their own virtual space* by submitting an abstract. Some of these contributions will be selected by the scientific committee for an oral flash presentation.
This year we will evaluate your virtual space, which you will be able to personalise and upload all kinds of material (both visual and written) to show the attendees your work, if you abstract is selected. The evaluation will be carried out by a scientific committee and also by vote by the attendees, so two awards will be given.
Important deadlines:
Abstract submission: 15/09/2021
Notification of acceptance: 06/10/2021
Registration deadline: 26/10/2021
Virtual space: Each participant will have a personal space where it will be possible to upload a poster, a ppt presentation, an image, a video, or all of them. You can choose the format or formats that you think will help you to show your work to the attendees the best. You will have access to your virtual space some weeks before the event in order to upload the material and we will also help you, in case you have any doubts.
Also, attendees will be able to interact with the authors by using a personal chat. We also encourage you that if you want to meet in person, you arrange a virtual meeting using other apps such as teams, zoom… If you wish to present a poster, you can use this template.
Flash presentations: Will be recorded the week before the event by media professionals.
